A football match provokes a wide range of emotions, none more exciting
than when a goal is scored. And when a goal changes the course of a
match, wins a title and gives joy to thousands of supporters, the
scorer can hardly be expected to hide his emotions.
Some do remain calm, while others go absolutely crazy, running in
all directions or doing a little dance. Fans love it and children copy
their heroes the following day in the playground. FIFAworldcup.com takes a look at some of the most famous, and infamous, goal celebrations.
Trademark celebrations
Somersaults – some acrobatic,
some less so – have become the trademark of many a goalscorer.
Legendary Mexico striker Hugo Sanchez was the innovator who has sparked
off countless imitators around the world. The Sanchez somersault
accompanied all of his goals, and while he only ever notched one in a
FIFA World Cup™ – against Belgium on home soil in 1986 – he had far
more success in Spain, wowing fans on both sides of the Madrid divide
and finishing up top scorer in the league on four occasions.
The somersault is the calling card of other successful strikers and
Korea/Japan 2002 saw enough triple Salchows to keep an Olympic judge
happy. The Republic of Ireland's Robbie Keane rounded off all three of
his goals with his very own machine-gun somersault, while Germany's
Miroslav Klose scored twice as many and thus flew through the air on
half-a-dozen occasions.
When it came to artistic impression, however, Nigeria's
Julius Aghahowa came out the winner. When he scored the Super Eagles'
only goal of the competition against Sweden, he performed an incredible
eight somersaults and topped it all off with a back-flip!
Chile's Marcelo Salas prefers bullfighting to gymnastics. His four
goals at France 98 gave him the chance to perfect a routine which boys
across South America would come to imitate – one knee on the ground,
head bowed, finger pointing to the sky. No wonder Salas came to be
known as 'The Matador'.
Better halves Some celebrations have a double meaning.
Spain's leading international scorer Raul dedicates each of his goals
to his wife, both for his club, Real Madrid, and his country, by
kissing his wedding ring. Italy's Francesco Totti, meanwhile,
celebrated the birth of his child after each of his goals last season.
His choreographed routine saw him hide the ball under his jersey, then
'give birth' to it before sucking his thumb. This was not the first
on-field show of paternal pride, however.
Twelve years earlier, at USA 94, Brazil's Bebeto showed the whole world how happy he was to be a dad. After he scored for the Seleção
against the Netherlands, he began cradling an imaginary baby and up
came Romario and Mazinho to do likewise alongside him, in an image
which fans remember to this day.
"I wanted to do something special to mark the birth of my child two days earlier," Bebeto explained to FIFAworldcup.com,
"but the cradling wasn't planned, it just came to me. Then I saw
Romario and Mazinho either side of me doing the same, and I felt so
emotional."
A few days earlier in Dallas, another birth was being celebrated,
that of a great new team. Nigeria marked their first ever FIFA World
Cup campaign by thrashing Bulgaria (who would go on to reach the
semi-finals) 3-0 in their opening game. Rasheed Yekini has since become
a legend in his home country, not merely due to the fact that he is
Nigeria's leading international scorer, but also thanks to the way he
celebrated their first goal that evening. With his fists clenched, he
stood in the back of the net as tears of joy poured out on behalf of an
entire nation.
Corner-flag capers Africa has also given us some of the
FIFA World Cup's best (or should that be worst?) dance routines. When
Cameroon qualified for their second ever tournament at Italia 90, no
one gave them much of a chance. By the time the Indomitable Lions had
seen off Romania and Colombia, however, Roger Milla had become a
household name. The 38 year-old rolled back the years, twice notching
two goals in a game and each time showcasing his twinkle toes, with his
corner-flag hip-swaying also going down in the annals.
In 2002, it was Senegal's turn to be the surprise package. Following in
the footsteps of Cameroon, who beat holders Argentina in the opening
match at Italia 90, Bruno Metsu's men pulled off an equally big upset
by beating France. After scoring the only goal of the game against the
defending champions, Papa Bouba Diop took his jersey off and hung it on
the corner flag. Within seconds, all of his team-mates were dancing
around the new-look pole.
That game brings back bitter memories for France's Lilian Thuram,
but four years previously, all eyes were on him. In the semi-final
against Croatia, the home nation found themselves 1-0 down and looking
like they would miss out on their 'own' final. Then up stepped the
defender to score not once, but twice – his only two international
goals to date – to send Les Bleus
into the promised land. It was tough to tell which emotion was dominant
– joy or incredulity – as Thuram sank to his knees with a finger on his
lips and a thousand-yard stare.
"The only thing I can compare
it with is when a jazz musician improvises", Thuram explained. "He
knows his instrument, and his fingers suddenly start moving more
quickly than his brain, so he just lets go and forgets the notes on the
sheet. That's what happened to me that evening. I forgot the stakes,
the tactics, the opponents – it was just me and the ball. It was like a
state of grace, or a trance. France-Croatia was my version of a Miles
Davis solo."
In a recent conversation with FIFAworldcup.com, the
Juventus defender described that moment as "something I had no control
over". Perhaps Italy's Christian Vieri felt the same when he sat down
cross-legged on the Stade Velodrome turf in Marseille after scoring
against Norway in the Round of 16 at France 1998. Ditto Brian Laudrup,
who calmly lay down on the turf after equalising for Denmark against
Brazil in the quarter-finals of the same tournament.
Less calm was
Italy's Salvatore 'Toto' Schillaci, whose look of wide-eyed amazement
accompanied his six goals at the 1990 FIFA World Cup. His Azzurri
predecessor Marco Tardelli, who won the tournament in 1982, was even
more euphoric. When the tough-tackling Juventus midfielder put Italy
2-1 up against West Germany in the final, he seemed to be delirious.
Alain Giresse was another, running around fists clenched and shouting
uncontrollably during the semi-final against West Germany in 1982.
While he looked like he was on another planet, goals from Karl-Heinz
Rummenigge and Klaus Fischer soon brought him back down to earth.
Celebrations 2006-style The race for the adidas Golden Shoe
should see some interesting post-goal rituals this summer in Germany.
After a season spent practising their routines, the marksmen will be
looking forward to trying them out in front of a global audience.
Italy’s Luca Toni had 31 opportunities to perfect his "Are you
listening?" celebration last year in Serie A, while Portugal's Pedro
Pauleta spread his wings 21 times in the French Ligue 1. Brazilian
Ronaldo has begun to imitate various animals to mark his goals, whereas
his compatriot and fellow Spanish exile Ronaldinho prefers to surf on
the wave of crowd adulation with his hands and arms outstretched. Korea
Republic's Chu-Young Park prefers a more pious pose, kneeling in prayer
after each goal.
Then there are the team efforts: FIFA World Cup newcomers Côte d'Ivoire
have perfected a fine line in team celebrations with their synchronised
mountain goat routine, while the Brazilian and French internationals at
French club champions Lyon have their own version of the New Zealand
haka.
If goals are the main ingredient at the FIFA World Cup, the
celebrations after them are more than just the icing on the cake. While
most will struggle to remember the final scorelines of Argentina-Greece
in 1994 and France-South Africa in 1998, who can forget Diego
Maradona's raging post-goal run, eyes ablaze, or Christophe Dugarry's
clown impression, tongue hanging out? Goalkeepers beware: the strikers
will be looking to make an impression this summer, with their shooting
boots and their dancing shoes.

Hello GL, what did you think of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana? I was wondering what ever happened to Count Dooku’s light saber by the time of Episode 4 - 6? Thank you for your time. I am interested to know what becomes of that artifact.
George Lucas: Who is Kurt Cobain? I’ve never heard of him. Nirvana must be some kind of illegal drug. I don’t do illicit drugs so I wouldn’t have any idea who Cobain or what Nirvana are. I hope he is doing alright and not in jail or anything. I wish him the best in life.
Sidious took Dooku’s light saber back to Sidious’ palace on Coruscant and placed it in his light-saber trophy case. Sidious had dozens of light sabers in this case from the conquests of Jedi and Dark Jedi Sidious had made over the past years.
Hi Mr. Lucas, I really like your movies and I really want to become a actor some day when I grow up and I really wished I could go in one of your movies it would of been very cool! Because I think you are a great director and writer. Anyways I want to ask you one question, who put on the gold plating on C-3PO in Episode III?
George Lucas: Thanks for being such a fantastic fan. I hope you become a successful actor even though the odds are greatly against you. Never give up your dreams.
The prop guy on Revenge of the Sith was named Jimmy Green. Jimmy made sure that C-3PO looked great for Revenge of the Sith. Jimmy is one of the lost souls of film making who doesn’t get the full credit they deserve. Jimmy should have gotten some kind of special Oscar award for his difficult work.
G.L., will the final chapter be coming out on VHS? I do have the first VHS of the Star Wars Episode 4, 5, 6, 1 and 2? I do know that you are very busy, so take your time to get back to me. I am over 50 no. Ed G. of Mesa, AZ.
George Lucas: The VHS video tape market is so insignificant now that it isn’t worth our time to release our films on VHS anymore. Revenge of the Sith will never be made available on VHS tape. We lose money by printing films on VHS so we have just stopped doing it all together. It’s true that I’m an extremely busy man, but I make time to answer the lingering questions that many fans have about Star Wars. The best part of my day is answering questions at SuperShadow.com. Luckily for us all, this is never going to end.
Greetings Mr. Lucas. I wanted to know, since the dark side of the Force can cloud the Jedi’s mind, can the Jedi use the light side of the Force to cloud the Sith’s minds?
George Lucas: Yes, most certainly the light side can cloud the dark side of the Force. Both Obi-Wan and Yoda use the power of the light side to hide the Skywalker twins from the Sith. Obi-Wan and Yoda are also able to mask their existence from the Sith. Sidious never gets any kind of feeling that Obi-Wan and Yoda are still alive. At the end of Return of the Jedi, Yoda and Obi-Wan cloud the dark side of the Force to such a degree that Sidious is unable to foresee Vader’s betrayal of Sidious.
Hello, Mr. George Lucas! Dustin Ihekwaba from New Jersey here. I saw in one of your previous statements, that the fans could give ideas for the sequels and all. I have one for the Jedi Council. Would it be possible to add my own character, Duron Voltros to the Jedi Council?
George Lucas: We’re not taking names for Jedi Council members at this time. We may hold a contest around 2014 or 2015 whereby a Jedi character named by a fan will get a role in Episode 7. Perhaps, this character could even be on the Jedi Council. SuperShadow will give you time and dates when these contests begin. So you don’t have to worry about missing out on helping us create Episode 7.
Mr. Lucas, does it bother you at all that people simply write "GL" instead of your name? As though George Lucas is such a tedious thing to write. Maybe I'm just being psycho, but it bothers me. Anyway, thank you for ALL of your films and for taking the time out of your busy schedule to answer some of the fan mail you receive. Sincerely, Bill.
George Lucas: No, shortening my name to GL is similar to the way fans summarize SuperShadow to just SS. All the cool people in life get their names shortened to something really interesting. I feel honored that the fans love me enough to give me a special name. I really have been given it all. I don’t think you are psycho, but your comment does suggest you have some kind of mental illness since this question really bothers you. Life is too short to worry about the small things. Just enjoy my films and buy as many Star Wars collectibles as possible.
Hi Mr. Lucas, you now Darth Vader in Episodes 7, 8 and 9 is he going to sound like Anakin or is he going to sound like Darth Vader? If it is going to be Darth Vader, you will need James Earl Jones to do the voice of mechanical Vader. If not, it won’t be the same with out him. But being a Star Wars fan, I don’t care. I’ll still love Star Wars. If you do use a different voice, you can say that same thing went wrong when cloning him so he sounds different? Thanks again Scott. PLEASE POST!
George Lucas: With his mask off, Anakin will sound exactly like an older Hayden Christensen. When the Darth Vader helmet is on, Vader will have James Earl Jones’ voice. We would not cheat the fans by using some other voice for mechanical Vader. The fans deserve the authentic thing and we will deliver.
Dear Mr. Lucas, I have been a huge Star Wars fan since I saw Star Wars Episode 1. You are my favorite director of making movies. The Star Wars movies are my favorite films of all time. I really do like the action in the movies. I was wondering who would win in a light saber duel Anakin in Revenge of the Sith against Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi? Mair!
George Lucas: Thanks for your kind words. It means a lot to me to have such great fans such as yourself. We are much better off with you. Always remain true to Star Wars.
I would have to say that Luke could defeat Anakin just because the will of the Force is so completely with Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi.
George Lucas, I am a really big fan of yours and have read all of the new essential guide books. I have two questions: one, did you write the books or did someone else you know write it? Two, where did you come up with the names of characters? I am also writing a story about a character I made up. I hope you get this and write back. Chad Bradley.
George Lucas: No, I don’t personally write the various ancillary Star Wars books especially the Essential Guides. I hire people to do this work for me. I simply don’t have enough free time to write Star Wars books.
The character names I use for Star Wars are just words I come up with that sound cool. If a word sounds real neat, I will use it for a character. I don’t really have any kind of formula I use to create character names. Thanks for writing in. You’re a really special person.
Hey GL. I have a question. Anakin was supposed to be the chosen one and he killed Sidious, right? But Sidious' spirit was resurrected by the ghosts of the Sith on Korriban and put into his clone and then Luke Skywalker turned to the dark side (faking it) and learned a new power and killed Sidious' clone. And if the clone is the same cells of one and Luke killed Sidious isn’t he meant to be the chosen one? Because Anakin didn’t get rid of him completely.
George Lucas: I believe the story you are referring to is the Dark Empire mini series from Dark Horse comic books. I readily admit that this story is not official. Sidious was not resurrected after Return of the Jedi and Luke never succumbed to the dark side. You need to understand that the comic books are intended as fun and provide an alternate reality of things that possibly could have happened in some parallel universe. So Luke is not the chosen one based on these stories because none of these stories are real.

Hey, SS. I had an idea that I thought would be great for the sequel trilogy. Instead of having the dark side coming from a planet, why not have it produced by a single person. Someone vastly powerful and evil that Luke Skywalker kills in the end. (SuperShadow: Mega sweet.) It has the potential to be the greatest Force battle witnessed in the Star Wars galaxy. It could even be possible for everyone to think that the dark side is coming from the planet, but at the last second have this new and incredibly powerful enemy come forth and challenge the Jedi. (SuperShadow: Tres cool.)
I can even envision it as the Dark Jedi are defeated hundreds of Jedi just drop dead and a tall humanoid appears and Luke realizes what is going on. Then the Force battle previously mentioned ensues. The Jedi that have survived the battle evacuate the planet and the black-hole devastator starts counting down. (SuperShadow: Eerie to the bone.) At the last possible second, Luke Force vanishes from the planet and onto a ship waiting at the edge of the system. What do you think?(SuperShadow: Awesome beyond words. This will all be forwarded to Lucas.)
Hey, is there other spoofs in the original movies? (SuperShadow: Yes, many, many gaffs and mistakes of all kinds.) Like when the storm trooper hit his head on the overhang of the door in Episode IV. Just wondering. And by the way, I have read most of the New Jedi Order series of books. And I think it’s just a bunch of crap. (SuperShadow: I’ve never seen garbage eat garbage before. Hahaha.) Chewie dies. Worst thing ever. (SuperShadow: Agreed.) Yuuzong Vong or whatever from another galaxy that's like Earth going over there and kicking some ace. (SuperShadow: How true. Hahaha.) NJO = bunch of crap, burn it. SS = Thank God for people like you. (SuperShadow: SS could very well actually be God.)
Hey SuperShadow, hope the scoring is going well for you today! (SuperShadow: Hat trick. If you know what I really mean. Hahaha.) The most powerful Sith list says numero uno is Darth Sidious with Kyber crystal. If Sidious did not have the crystal, would he still be so powerful? (SuperShadow: No, not quite as powerful.) Thanks for the sweet site. (SuperShadow: My pleasure. Doing my duty for all fandom.) Forever scoring. Bill. (SuperShadow: Scoring at will is Heaven on Earth.)
Dear SS, LOVE your web site. (SuperShadow: I feel the love.) I just have a few questions. First, how long of a time span was it from Return of the Jedi and The Phantom Menace (SuperShadow: The Phantom Menace took place about 33 years before Return of the Jedi.) because you could take that time and do that from Revenge of the Sith to Episode 9? (SuperShadow: I don’t have a time frame set for Episode 7 to 9 yet.) Also I was wondering if the game Republic Commando got a lot of profits because it was an awesome game possibly the best. (SuperShadow: LucasArts earned over $ 40 million dollars from that game.)
I was also wondering what is Lucas’ favorite game. (SuperShadow: Lucas’ fave games are the ones starring Jar Jar Binks or the Ewoks.) I think a cool idea for A New Hope would be to add a scene that after Darth Vader is shot by Han it should show him regaining himself and flying to Coruscant. (SuperShadow: Fabulous. This will be sent to Lucas.) Thanx and keep SCORING! (SuperShadow: Scoring like Mack Brown against East Texas A & M.)
Hey, SuperShadow. Okay, the Force is a powerful entity with a light side and a dark side, with the light side being the more powerful of the two. (SuperShadow: That’s debatable.) Well, to help you understand what I’m saying to you, have you heard of the recently discovered material called antimatter? (SuperShadow: Old news.) It’s the same thing as matter, except with the opposite charge. For instance, in an atom of regular matter, the protons have a positive charge and the electrons have a negative charge. However, in an atom of antimatter, the protons have a negative charge and they’re called antiprotons, while the electrons have a positive charge, and so they’re called positrons. (SuperShadow: There is a humorous part of this story.)
What if the same principle was used with something like the Force, only the dark side is stronger, and instead of being at its core a Force of good, it is an evil force. In other words, it’s an "AntiForce," that was created the moment life was created, along with the normal Force. This would mean that the AntiForce and the Force are total opposites, almost enemies, and when the two meet, it’s catastrophic. (SuperShadow: Wonderfully fantastic.) That could be something to look into for another trilogy, and the first episode could be something like "Nemesis of The Force." So what do you think? Alrighty, Supes. I'll see 'ya 'round! (SuperShadow: Sounds vapid and dubious, but I will fed ex these ideas to Lucas.)
I was reading your X-Files analysis and you make it sound real. Is it? (SuperShadow: The X-Files mythology is imaginary.) Does it have anything to do with Mirader Empire if so? (SuperShadow: No, the Mirader Empire has nothing to do with the follies of Mulder and Scully.) Does the Mirader Empire really exist? (SuperShadow: Yes, they rule the known and unknown Universe.) And I want the truth. (SuperShadow: I would never lie about the Mirader Empire. This is all real.) Also, does the "dark matter" have anything to do with the Mirader Empire? (SuperShadow: Yeah, there are some who believe the Miraders created dark energy and dark matter.) I suspect it. Do you still plan for Episode 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 knowing we are dead in 2012. Keep Scorin'! (SuperShadow: Hahaha. So the world is going to end in 2012. My level of scoring is going to have to surpass infinite so that I can do it all.)
Hey SS, Wouldn't Anakin Skywalker had have died in Episode 3 after him and Obi-Wan fought? Because it would take Sidious about 2 weeks to get to Anakin. (SuperShadow: Not true. Sidious stayed close by Mustafar just in case his apprentice needed help against Obi-Wan. Sidious expected Obi-Wan to defeat Anakin.)
Yo SS, these are my opinions as to who is stronger, Mace Windu vs. Sidious, and Yoda vs. Sidious, and Yoda vs. Windu. I believe that Mace Windu has Sidious beaten when he has him down on the floor because I believe that Mace Windu is better with a light saber than Sidious. (SuperShadow: Excellent point.) However, Sidious comes up on top because since he cant beat Windu with a light saber, Sidious knows he must use Force lighting because he is stronger than Mace with the Force.
This goes the other way around when Sidious fights Yoda. Sidious tries to use his knowledge of the Force to kill Yoda, but Yoda overpowers him, as shown in Episode 3, so Sidious must use his light saber skills to defeat Yoda. Therefore, Mace Windu is number 1 with a light saber, Sidious is number 2 and Yoda is number 3. Yoda is number 1 with the Force, Sidious is number 2 and Mace is number 3. (SuperShadow: Great analysis. Most fans agree with your ingenious assessment.) PLEASE POST! I have read your web site for 4 years. (SuperShadow: SS appreciates your dedication to the godlike web site referred to as SS.com.)
Hello SS! I have a question about the weight of light sabers. 1. When you ignite a light saber, does the weight increase? (SuperShadow: No, not really.) 2. If not, it should be hard to spin them around like that (you know, rotating them forward), because that’s most simple when you have a stick or similar. Just a piece of metal. Well, it should be hard to spin. Thanks for your site! (SuperShadow: It’s a great pleasure bringing SS.com to the fans each day.)
Star Wars should consist of at least 18 films: the Ancient Trilogy, the Prequel Trilogy, the Classic Trilogy, the Sequel Trilogy, the Raveron Trilogy and the Mirader Trilogy. I think it would be cool if the Rodar Wizards and Miraders conquer a corrupt Jedi Order which use the dark energy and evil technology they stole from the Raverons millennia ago. You said the Miraders are conquering the Jedi’s Galaxy now and the Rodar Wizards are even more powerful than the Miraders and Jedi. (SuperShadow: The Rodar are so powerful because they can travel in time to a certain degree. The Miraders have never perfected time-machine technology.) Why not have the Miraders and Rodars team up and be the new good guys who are true to the spirit of the Force like Luke Skywalker was? (SuperShadow: Uber stellar dazzling idea. One of the best ideas I have ever come across. This will be given to Lucas pronto.)
In Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, why doesn’t R2-D2 tell Luke Skywalker who Yoda is when they first see him on Dagobah? (SuperShadow: Plot error. R2 enjoys watching Yoda torment poor Luke. R2 has a very acidic form of humor.)
Supes, here are some things I think we must see in the TV series. We have to see Palpatine’s Royal Guards in some action, (SuperShadow: Yeah, it should happen.) maybe see them thwart an assassination attempt on the Emperor’s life. (SuperShadow: Jello laydown.) We must see Wookiees tear some Clone Troopers’ arms out of their sockets. (SuperShadow: Hahaha. That would totally rock. We must make this happen.) We must see Vader killing some Jedi. (SuperShadow: Absolutely necessary.) And we must see an episode about young Boba Fett. What do you think? (SuperShadow: You, my friend, are a Stephen Hawking mega uber ultra genius. All of these pure genius ideas will be headed for Lucas.)
Hey SS, hope things are getting better every day. I come here often to hear your take on things and to see if you’ve posted a comment that solves a plot error. Earlier, you criticized the EU and the NJO in particular. I completely know that the NJO books don’t count, but just because they don’t count doesn’t mean they’re crap writing. (SuperShadow: Purest of crap.) Sure, they’re not Lucas’ writing, but it’s certainly better than fan fiction. (SuperShadow: Fan fiction is tard impaired.) The EU is basically a great big "What if?" Naturally, a big chunk of EU is crap.
(That six-book series a year after Return of the Jedi meant to be read by 8 year olds, the Young Jedi Knights series and the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy was so far off from who Luke and Leia’s mom was that I quit reading halfway through the first book). (SuperShadow: Most fans can’t get through the first page. It’s that awful.) By the way, I have always wanted to know if you think Twi'leks are hot. (SuperShadow: Certain ones are hugely hot.) Can we see a Mon Cal cruiser and a Star Destroyer slug it out in the TV series like The Invisible Hand did with the Guararla? (SuperShadow: Oh yeah, that will probably happen.) We only saw a few lame pops of lasers between capital ships in Return of the Jedi. (SuperShadow: The classic Star Wars trilogy is awful in every possible way.)
Hey nice site. (SuperShadow: That’s why we are the most visited of all the Star Wars web sites.) I have three questions. Firstly, what books do you or Mr. Lucas consider to be official story line? (SuperShadow: The books that come the closest are the ones written by Timothy Zahn. These books are semi almost official.) I know you don’t like the twins or the Vong invasion. Secondly, will Zonama Sekot feature in Episode 7, 8 and/or 9? (SuperShadow: Are you kidding me? Hahaha.)
I spotted it on your map so I assumed that Lucas accepted the planet and lastly when Vader appears in Episode 9, will he have his black mask and robe, not forgetting he will not need breathing apparatus because unless they clone him with his limbs missing and unable to breathe he will not need them? (SuperShadow: The clone Vader will be fully formed with all his arms, legs and body parts. The clone Vader will still wear the classic Vader mask and armor to showcase his true self.) Thanx, keep up the good word. -SS-Ocelot. (SuperShadow: Man, thank goodness, I can score so easily and at all time forever.)
(source: supershadows)
Hey George, I have heard that Mace Windu gets killed by Boba Fett in the sequel trilogy (Episode 7, 8 and 9). I find this hard to come by because Mace is my favorite character. Mace is a powerful Jedi. Shouldn’t Mace be easily able to defeat Boba Fett in a battle? Thanks Rob from Western Australia.
George Lucas: To answer this question, you just need to use your common sense. By the time of Episode 7, Mace Windu is over 100 years old. Windu is way past his prime. In contrast, Boba Fett is only about 60 something years old. Boba Fett is still very near his peak of power. Windu is much weaker at 100 years old than Boba Fett is at 60 plus years old. You need to remember that Jango Fett came close to killing Windu during Attack of the Clones. If Jango’s jet pack hadn’t misfired, Jango would have finished Windu off. So it is not surprising that a relatively-young Boba Fett can eliminate Windu during the sequel trilogy.
Hello Master Lucas. I am a faithful fan of Star Wars and have easily spent over $ 500 U.S. dollars on Star Wars video games, collectibles, movies and FX light sabers. I have studied Star Wars for some time now and I have some questions about it. My first one is: What was the full prophecy regarding: "the one who will bring balance to the Force"? I think Anakin/Darth Vader did bring balance to the Force in both Episode 3 and 6. In Episode 3, Vader brings balance to the Force by destroying many Jedi and that brought "balance" because there were far more Jedi than Sith that I am aware of.
In Episode 6, Vader did it by killing himself and Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine. My 2nd question is: What race is Kit Fisto, one of the minor Jedi masters, who came with Windu to arrest Palpatine? My last question is: If it was true that Darth Plagueis could keep the people who he cared about alive, wouldn’t it be a light side power since it is helping people or is it a dark side power since it is cheating nature and the Force? Your movies are the best and my favorites. I wish for your days to be filled with happiness and enjoyment. Thank you and PLEASE POST!
George Lucas: I want to congratulate you on being such a dedicated fan. I appreciate all the money you spend on Star Wars. We need more fans with your passion for spending lots of cash on Star Wars merchandise.
The full prophecy states: “There will come the Chosen One who will have no father and will be a child of the Force. This Chosen One will bring balance to the Force by destroying the Sith Order.” That is the prophecy in full. Anakin brought balance to the Force only once. It occurred when he ended the reign of the Sith by destroying Sidious and himself.
Kit Fisto comes from an exotic species called the Nitises. Fisto can breathe under water for very long periods of time. Not much is known about the powers of Darth Plagueis. What we can say for sure is that his Force powers were not natural. They were deep dark side tricks of the Force that brought great imbalance in the Force.
Mr. Lucas, first, thank you for "Star Wars." It has inspired me to write movie scripts as a hobby. Second, a sequel trilogy? This is great. By the time I have a kid, a new Star Wars Trilogy will be available. For the sequels, why keep it secret? Why not tell media outlets that "Star Wars" will return to the screen? Because, if it wasn’t for SuperShadow, I thought there would never be a new "Star Wars" movie after the great Episode III. Ever Forward, Charles Anderson
George Lucas: You are very wise to spend time writing film scripts. You will always keep your mind sharp by writing. Lucasfilm sent out a press release that was picked up by the major mass media outlets concerning the fact that we are going ahead with Star Wars Episode 7, 8 and 9. So it is well known amongst the general public and the fans that there will be more Star Wars films. It’s too early to have a full-fledged ad campaign for the sequels because we won’t actually begin working on them until 2014. Right now, all our energy is being spent working on and promoting the Star Wars TV shows.
Please, please, please don’t remake the original Star Wars trilogy! That would totally ruin them! That SuperShadow guy said you wanted to on his message board on the 30th, but that it cost too much money right now. I hope it always costs too much money because everyone loves Episode 4, 5 and 6 and would hate you if you remade them. DON’T DO IT! PLEASE!
George Lucas: It’s certainly true that I’m extremely unhappy with how the old films turned out. Almost on a yearly basis, I make small tweaks to the old films. There are so many things wrong with the old films that I am going to have to completely remake them one day with sophisticated photorealistic computer animation. Today we simply don’t have the necessary technology to remake the old films inexpensively. Lucasfilm can’t afford to redo all three of the old films right now. I expect that in about 20 years digital animation will be so affordable that I will be able to make brand-new versions of the old films in complete compliance with my true and official vision for Star Wars. Regardless of what happens, I will continue to make changes to the old films for the rest of my natural life.
Dear Mr. Lucas, this might sound a tad selfish, but I was playing my Battlefront 2 video game that I got for my birthday and it like . . . froze . . . so I restarted it and it keeps saying please enter PS2 format disc. I have e-mailed LucasArts 3 times about this. Finally all they said is be patient and wait. I was wondering if you would like kinda give me a free copy cause this was my b-day present and my family isn’t very rich. My dad pre-ordered it for me and it was $ 60. "Help me, George Lucas, you’re my only hope." Thanks and plz e-mail this to (e-mail address omitted) and plz, plz post this, George.
George Lucas: I guess the reason many of the Battlefront 2 discs are faulty is because I require LucasArts to use the most inexpensive and cheap components to create the games. We need to maximize profits as best we can. The best way to increase our earnings is to make the video games with the cheapest parts and components as we can find. Our video games are very, very low quality. We get thousands of complaints from the fans telling us that their game happens to be defective. That’s just too bad.
What you need to do is buy several new copies of Battlefront 2 and pray at least one of the new versions works. All our video games are made and assembled in China. As we all know, most Chinese peasant workers are tards and can barely walk and talk at the same time so it is no surprise that many of our video games are made defective. My advice to you is to buy several more copies of this game. At least one copy should actually work. As always, may the Force be with you.
Lord Lucas, I was wondering if you will have any twists or reversals in the plots of Episodes 7 - 9 as you did in the first 6 episodes. Really, in my opinion, that was what gave those movies such power. A Star Wars movie without some tragedy might just seem like cheesy science fiction. Where’s the drama? Your faithful servant, Steerpike.
George Lucas: I don’t like to create plot twists just for the sake of surprising the audience. We did it with Vader being Luke’s father revealed at the end of The Empire Strikes Back, but that is basically the only real plot twist we have used in the Star Wars saga. The prequel trilogy has no plot twists or plot reversals. My prequel scripts were of such high quality that we didn’t need those kinds of gimmicks to win over the audiences. SuperShadow and I spent countless hours working on the scripts for The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
We avoided using trite plot surprises and instead gave the fans some of the greatest action sequences of all time. Likewise, Episode 7, 8 and 9 will follow in the same mold and template as the prequels. We’re not going to manufacturer some cheap gimmick to trick the fans. SuperShadow is a mega genius with no peer. His I.Q. is so high that SS has the Guinness Book of World Record for highest I.Q. In the end, SuperShadow will be in charge of writing the scripts for the next Star Wars trilogy. I will provide a little help, but most of the work will be done by the godlike Shadow. The best is yet to come.
Two questions for the greatest story teller of our time: 1. What exactly did Owen Lars know about Luke’s father at the time of Episode IV? 2. What do you envision as the textural look of Episodes VII - IX? To be more clear, the prequels had the Renaissance look and the classics had the rusty look. Where is the next trilogy going, texturally?
George Lucas: By the time of A New Hope, Owen and Beru Lars have learned about everything that has happened to Anakin. They know that Anakin battled Obi-Wan on Mustafar and that Anakin nearly died. They realize that as a result of his injuries Anakin was transformed into the terrible Darth Vader. Owen and Beru know the entire story of how Anakin became Darth Vader.
Episode 7 takes place about 30 or so years after Return of the Jedi. The classic trilogy had an old rundown look. Things were worn out and nothing seemed to work properly. This changes over the next 30 years. By the time of Episode 7, the galaxy is shiny and things work well and look beautiful. Episode 7, 8 and 9 are going to look much better than the greatness seen in the prequel trilogy.
Hey George, you are indeed the man! There’s no one that can touch you when it come to science fiction. I would like to know a little more about the upcoming Star Wars TV shows. I don’t want to know so much that it will spoil the fun, but could you just give me enough to get my Star Wars adrenalin boiling?
George Lucas: There’s not much I can reveal at this time, but I can give you the basics about the two Star Wars TV shows we have in development. The first Star Wars TV series is a computer animated show set during the Clone Wars. The second Star Wars TV series will be live-action show with real flesh-and-blood characters. This show will focus on minor characters from the prequel films. It will be set in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. That is basically all I can reveal at this time.
Lucas, I have been dying to know how Mace Windu survives Episode 3 and appears in Episode 7. I don’t want you to reveal how Luke Skywalker meets him. I just want to know how Mace is alive. Second, if Anakin Skywalker would have been trained by Qui-Gon Jinn and not been turned to the dark side, how would have Darth Sidious taken over the galaxy or could he have? For my third question, is the clone of the Emperor in Episodes 7, 8 or 9? My last question is my most interested question. In the expanded universe, how does Luke turn to the dark side and then back to the good side? And is this going to be in the sequel trilogies? I hope you are able to post this because I don’t have an e-mail address or anything. I visit this site everyday reading these interviews in hopes that I would be answered by George Lucas himself. Your biggest fan and historian to star wars. Ryan Sears.
George Lucas: Mace Windu lands on something that breaks his fall from Sidious’ office. Windu suffers minor injuries, but he is well enough to escape from Coruscant and to go hide on a backwater planet. Without Anakin, Sidious would have had a difficult time destroying the Jedi and bringing down the Old Republic. In fact, Yoda, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu and Qui-Gon could have confronted and destroyed Sidious so there never would have been an Empire.
There will be no clone Emperor in Episode 7 to 9. Luke turns to the dark side in the Dark Empire comic book mini series in order to defeat the clone Palpatine. Luke is tricking the clone Palpatine so that Luke can destroy the evil clone Emperor. Luke never succumbs to the dark side in Episode 7, 8 and 9. Thanks for being such a great fan by visiting SuperShadow.com each day. I’m glad you take a keen interest in all the answers I give to the fans each day. I love answering fan questions and will continue to provide answers at SS.com for the rest of my life.
The world just loves you, Mr. Lucas. No doubt about that and I am your well wisher and also the no. 1 fan of Star Wars from India, Guneet. Sir, I have collected many Star Wars stuffs available in India and also from Internet and I watched Revenge of the Sith more than 10 times. Sir, I got an idea don’t you think you must include a scene in Episode 4 where after the death star is been destroyed and Luke lands on Yavin, Darth Vader goes straight to Coruscant and meets Emperor and Emperor tells him that the rebellion is growing stronger. Please reply.
George Lucas: You are an amazing fan. Your passion for Star Wars burns strong. I find you to be very impressive. You are a great person. Thanks for collecting as much Star Wars collectibles as possible. It is appreciated tremendously.
I love your idea for a scene to add to A New Hope. This is the exact kind of change I would like to make to the old films by completely remaking them. We should have a scene of Sidious in A New Hope. There is no reason not to show Sidious in all of the old films. Your idea is very stellar. Top notch idea in many ways. Thanks for your contribution. We might be able to use your idea when we make further improvements to the old films. Take care and have a great life.

Hi GL, I was just wondering if Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan), Hayden Christensen (Anakin) or Jake Lloyd (young Anakin) or any of the old actors are going to be in the next trilogy? Thanks Elissa from AUSTRALIA.
George Lucas: Ewan, Hayden and Jake are fantastic actors. However, they will not be needed for Episode 7, 8 and 9. For the clone Vader/Anakin, we will be using a photorealistic computer animated double of Hayden Christensen. The only older actors that will be needed are Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Billy Dee Williams and a few others.
Now that Anakin Skywalker is dead, won’t you have to redo Episodes 7 - 9?
George Lucas: No, not at all. The real Anakin has only a small role in Episode 9 whereby Anakin appears as a Jedi ghost after the dark side is destroyed at the end of Episode 9. The Anakin that we will actually see in flesh and blood is the clone Vader/Anakin. This clone will be created from a photorealistic computer simulation of Hayden Christensen. The real Hayden will not be appearing in the sequels.
George Lucas, I was wonder in the end of the special addition of Return of the Jedi (on DVD) when Darth Vader died and the spirits of some of the past Jedi that died appeared, why did it show Anakin as he was in Star Wars Episode 3 he wasn’t even killed then?
George Lucas: When you succumb to the dark side, you essentially die in the light side of the Force and no longer age. Since Anakin joined the dark side during Revenge of the Sith, Anakin’s Jedi ghost remains frozen in time at the very instant when Anakin goes over to the dark side. At the end of Return of the Jedi, we see the Anakin Jedi ghost as Anakin appears to the light side of the Force frozen in time since Revenge of the Sith.
Hello Mr. Lucas. I don’t want to take up much of your time, but I would like to say that your films have greatly impacted my life as a kid in tremendous ways. I have become more of a critical thinker in many aspects of life. One question that I have for you is, how did you come up with the costume for Darth Vader in his prime during the Empire under Palpatine. Thank you again. We need more people like you in this world. CPH.
George Lucas: The classic Darth Vader mask and armor was created by Ralph McQuarrie. I needed a character that dressed in a space suit because the character had sustained some injuries from a battle. This character is, of course, Darth Vader. Ralph came up with the classic Vader mask and armor and I loved the design so we kept it for the film.
I am Brandon a Jedi fan ever since Episode 1. I tried to memorize all the light-saber moves and my friends and I teach younger kids what we know. You make the best movies ever. Are you going to be making more films of Star Wars or no?
George Lucas: What a wonderful person you are. Your friends are great. There is nothing better you can do with your time than learn Star Wars fighting moves and then teach these techniques to smaller children. You should be congratulated for all your hard work.
Yes, we will be making more Star Wars films. We will begin production of Star Wars Episode 7 by 2014. This film will be released in theatres by May 2021. SuperShadow will be in complete control over the next trilogy. Shadow will select the directors, producers and script writers for the next Star Wars films. With the full spectrum of Shadow’s genius, we can all expect the sequel trilogy to be the best and most successful trilogy of all time.
Hi George Lucas, I wanted to know when your Star Wars series is coming on television? What episodes are these going to be based on. I wanted to know what time and what channel. Please post. Thank you.
George Lucas: We’re early in the production phase of the Star Wars TV shows. It’s too early to say what TV stations will broadcast the shows. We don’t even know what times the shows will be on. Right now, we’re writing stories for the two Star Wars TV shows. The computer-animated Clone Wars show will be ready first. It should be out on TV by late 2007. The live-action Star Wars TV series will be out a little later on. The Clone Wars show will deal with the Clone Wars. The live-action show will feature minor characters from the prequel trilogy and will be set after Revenge of the Sith but prior to the events of A New Hope. Both shows should be ready for broadcast by late 2007 or sometime in 2008.
Hi Mr. Lucas, I just want to say, I love the world you have created with Star Wars! I have been a fan for over 23 years. (I'm so old that I remember when Return of the Jedi was premiering in theatres! - Actually, I was a whole of 5 years old, I think when it debuted). As a young woman who grew up with the series, Princess Leia proved to be a great inspirational figure symbolizing that women can play on the same battlefields and use the same -"rules of engagement" as men and overcome gender stereotypes. Leia’s character, in my opinion, was the precurser to the rise of the current movement whereby we are seeing more and more women chosing powerful career paths in 'traditionally male dominated' fields such as lawyers or like-careers. (I realize there was a women’s movement somewhere in there). I applaud you for creating such a situation in her character, that went against the common gender stereotypes that Hollywood (the movie industry in general as well) has seemed so ****-bent to put women in.
I have some general questions for you if you'd care to answer them I would appreciate it.
1) I know in the current Dark Nest Trilogy. (Yes, I realize that it is in the expanded universe and those are not your ideas), Luke and Leia finally find out information about their mother. This has been one of the things that has bugged me about your universe thus far - dating back to Return of the Jedi. They learned of their father, in your vision of this universe or subsequent sequels, will they find out who their mother was, and connecting with that, who their maternal biological family is and where they live? - If Pooja Naberrie was one of Leia's best friends during her time as a junior senator, did they know they were related?
Or perhaps Leia felt they were related - much like she felt with Luke Skywalker, but never knew why because of her "closed" adoption? Will this information be in the subsequent sequels? If Leia felt they were related, but couldn’t acquire answers (of course these would have come through Bail Organa, however, since he died she lost her only means to the answers of these questions, she thus put them on the "back burner"? - Or, did somewhere along the line, Bail dropped Padme's name to her as her mother’s biological name or perhaps they spoke of her, in limited terms. Perhaps discussing the beginnings of the Rebel Alliance? Or from where he got Artoo?) Obviously Bail held some of her heritage information from her, but to what extent did he withhold it? Was it similar to how Owen withheld it from Luke whenever Anakin was mentioned? Did Bail ever "happen" to meet the Lar’s, perhaps on a trip to see Obi-Wan?
2) While I know that Leia had a pampered childhood next to Luke's, what are some characteristics she had as a child? Was she unruly? Trouble always seemed to find her as it did Luke? Obviously she may have been a bit brash like her mother, but what sort of "childhood" stories could Bail Organa tell - if he were alive - about his "princess” as a little girl?
3) Again in the Dark Nest Trilogy, we see the beginnings of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker’s great grandchildren (Jacen Solo and Queen Mother Tenel Ka, in secrecy create a daughter Allana) in your vision of Star Wars, do you see great grandchildren emerge? I saw that in Episode 7 - 10 synapsis that Ben Skywalker loses his girlfriend honorably in battle, but since Anakin Solo is killed as well, that leaves just him to start the next phase of Skywalker Jedi or do you see him having a surprise sibling? Or will Jacen and Jaina Solo throw in a cameo appearance (I realize their characters may not be that popular)? What sort of future do you envision for Ben if the only person he cares for as a sibling, or potential wife, dies? Will he have children or will the Skywalker line die with him?
4) In the movie sequels, is Anakin Solo the only Solo child? In your vision, is Anakin the only Solo child? I realize that some of my questions are complex, as I'm sure your answers are. You may e-mail replies directly to me at (e-mail address omitted) if you feel the answers are too long to enter into the SS threads or you could have SS post it. Thanks, Susan from Ohio.
George Lucas: I’m certainly glad that the Leia character has brought you much joy. I wanted to have at least one female character who could carry her own amongst the men that surrounded her. Star Wars is basically a war film and most of the characters in a war film are men. However, it is important to have major female characters who can stand up to the stress of war. Leia is as powerful as any male actor in the films.
I don’t have any control over what the Dark Nest Trilogy does with information regarding Padme. It is possible that Luke and Leia will find out all about Padme, her family and Naboo. I haven’t seen any rough drafts with this kind of information so the authors may not be planning to reveal this kind of Padme info in this particular book series.
I promise that Episode 7 will reveal all the details about Padme to both Luke and Leia. They will find out about Padme’s entire life. They will learn about all of Padme’s family members on Naboo. Luke and Leia will also learn much about Naboo. Sometime during Episode 7, 8 and 9, Luke and Leia will actually visit Naboo and go to Padme’s palace and find all kinds of holocrons that reveal Padme’s entire life to Luke and Leia.
Leia will also learn much about her own childhood. Leia will learn she was a very feisty child who was always getting into trouble. Leia refused to take orders and acted very much like Padme on many occasions.
I still haven’t worked out exactly how many grandchildren Anakin Skywalker will eventually have. Right now, we have Ben Skywalker and Anakin Solo. There will be others in Episode 7, but I haven’t given them names yet. Jacen and Jaina probably do not exist in my true vision of Star Wars. However, Han and Leia Solo will have children additional to Anakin Solo. Ben Skywalker will not be the last of the Skywalkers. Luke and Mara Jade will have several more children.
Dear Mr. Lucas, how and what are the circumstances that Luke Skywalker finds Mace Windu after Return of the Jedi? Does Windu help the Jedi fight in the final battle in Episode 9 and how does Windu die? Please answer this. - Emery.
George Lucas: I’m not going to reveal how Luke and Windu meet each other at this time. It will be one of the most classic moments from the Star Wars saga. Windu will not be appearing in Episode 9 because Boba Fett kills Windu earlier in the trilogy.
Dear George, what would have happenned had Qui-Gon Jinn survived and defeated Darth Maul? Would he have taken Anakin as his apprentice instead of Obi-Wan, and if he so, would Anakin have been more disciplined and controllable, possibly escaping his dark fate, being that Qui-Gon was the one who freed him and sort of took him in, while Obi-Wan he hardly even knew at the time? I was just curious, and if you could respond, I would appreciate it.
George Lucas: Yes, the fate of the galaxy would have been much different if Qui-Gon had survived The Phantom Menace. Qui-Gon would have personally trained Anakin. Anakin wouldn’t have been tricked to join the dark side by Sidious. In fact, it is likely that Qui-Gon and Anakin would have teamed up to defeat Sidious.
Will Dash Rendar and Kyle Katarn be in Episode 7, 8 and 9 and Kyle should be in the Jedi Council or leader of Rogue Squadron if Luke Skywalker isn’t and is Wedge gonna be there too? I think Dash should help the Millennium Falcon. I mean seeing those 2 ships togethor would be kool. I was wondering during the Empire it said really fast light speed is illegal, but can the bounty hunters and lol space airlines have it legal? Thanx a bucnh!
George Lucas: Rendar and Wedge will have at least cameo roles in Episode 7. I’m not sure what we’re going to do with Katarn. He definitely won’t be the leader of the Jedi Council. There are many people who use and possess illegal hyper drives. Some bounty hunters and others wanting to go really fast through space would possess these illegal hyper drives.
Hi GL, I was just wondering if Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan), Hayden Christensen (Anakin) or Jake Lloyd (young Anakin) or any of the old actors are going to be in the next trilogy? Thanks Elissa from AUSTRALIA.

Is there any chance of you making Steven Brust’s books into movies? You have the technology necessary to show all the stuff in the books and there is basically a script already there so you could keep focused on your forte: making a movie using sound. Just a brief summary of the series set in the fantasy world of "Drageara,” assuming you’ve never read Brust’s books. It is a world where people use magic and swords and stuff like that. Humans like us are the minority and are called "Easterners" and "Dragaerans" are in power in that world.
They average at about 8 feet tall and cannot grow facial hair like Humans and most do not show muscle, even if he or she is very strong. The characters actually meet the gods of that world on many occasions and there are many strange creatures that inhabit that world. This would be good because of your other strong point: telling a story with good visuals. I thank you for your time, Mr. Lucas, and I beg you to post. I am interested in your response.
George Lucas: The one thing you should know about myself and Lucasfilm is that we only create films based on my original ideas. I do not make films based on the work of other people like Steven Brust. I pride myself on being able to write my own feelings and observations in my scripts. Drageara sounds an awful lot like Willow. I’ve already tried the fantasy genre, in the same vein as the Lord of the Rings, and didn’t have any success. I guess with the emergence of Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings and the Chronicles of Narnia that the fantasy genre as finally matured as a film concept. Willow was an idea that was about twenty years ahead of its time. Thanks again for suggesting that I convert Brust’s world into film, but I’m not interested for the reasons already mentioned.
Dear Mr. Lucas, I have been a huge Star Wars fan since I saw Star Wars Episode 1. You are my favorite director of making movies. The Star Wars movies are my favorite films of all time. I really do like the action in the movies. I was wondering in Star Wars Episode 3 would Obi-Wan be able to talk to Qui-Gon Jinn would Qui-Gon look any different? I also read the scripts for Star Wars 7, 8 and 9.They are great. Please answer my question soon. Thanks!
George Lucas: If Obi-Wan were able to see the ghost of Qui-Gon, the Qui-Gon ghost would look exactly the way Qui-Gon looked when he was killed by Darth Maul on Naboo. Jedi spirits do not age or change in any way. Thanks for the kind words about the next Star Wars trilogy. SuperShadow and I spent many years working on the plot summaries for Episode 7 to 9. We really poured our hearts into these synopsis and have really done our best work ever. I’m very thankful to have Shadow as my best friend. He is so selfless and does so much work for the Star Wars fandom in general. We are lucky to be alive at the same time as SuperShadow.
Hey George, I love your films. You rule. Dude, I just got one question. In Episode 3 at Padme’s funeral. Is the actress who played Zam Wesell in the funeral procession?
George Lucas: No, you are referring to Leeanna Walsman, who portrayed the bounty-hunter Zam Wesell in Attack of the Clones. Leeanna is a fantastic actress and one of the most talented people I have ever worked with. She did such a marvelous job in Attack of the Clones. However, Leeanna has no involvement with Revenge of the Sith.
Hello GL, I was just wondering if there will be a Nautolon, like Kit Fisto, on the new Jedi Council in the 3rd trilogy? Episode 3 was the best movie I have ever seen (just thought I’d throw that in!)
George Lucas: When SuperShadow and I created the script summaries for the sequel trilogy, we did not include every single detail that will appear in the actual, full scripts. I can tell you that Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade and Princess Leia are all definitely on the Jedi Council during Episode 7. The other members of the Jedi Council will be characters that will be created by Shadow and the fans when you create the scripts for Episode 7 to 9. I’m really glad you enjoyed Revenge of the Sith. Shadow and I had the time of our life writing that script. The prequel trilogy ended on a thunderous high that will be hard to duplicate, but I’m confident that Episode 7 will be the best Star Wars film of all time because it will be based primarily on the genius of SuperShadow.
Dear Mister Lucas, could you please answer me these two questions. The scene in the end of Return of the Jedi where Luke Skywalker sees the ghosts of Anakin, Obi-Wan and Yoda always reminded me of the Holy Bible passage about Jesus’ transfiguration, where Jesus was seen standing with Moses and Elijah. Is there a connection? Also, do you think that the toppling of Saddam Hussein’s statue in Iraq was inspired by the toppling of Palpatine’s statue in the added scene in the end of the Return of the Jedi movie? Thanks!
George Lucas: The idea to have the Jedi ghosts appear at the end of Return of the Jedi came from one of the science-fiction film serials I saw as a kid in the theatre. That serial had an important character to return as a ghost and provide advice to the main protagonist. I thought this would be a great way to bring Obi-Wan back for The Empire Strikes Back. Having Anakin, Obi-Wan and Yoda appear as ghosts at the end of Return of the Jedi was something I was keen on doing to show that the Jedi had returned from the abyss. The toppling of a dictator’s statue is nothing new. Every time a dictator is ousted the first thing people do is destroy anything that has the image of that dictator. So I have to admit that the people of Iraq were not influenced by Return of the Jedi. In fact, most of the citizens of Iraq have never even heard of Star Wars.
Hi George Lucas, I love Star Wars. It’s the best movies in the world. My name is Chad Clements and just wanted to say you are the best movie creator. Chad Clements.
George Lucas: I thought I would post your comment even though you don’t provide us with a witty comment or some kind of unfathomable question about Star Wars. I get thousands of people telling me each day that I’m the best film director of all time and that they love Star Wars. I just wanted to take a second to post one of these compliments in order to honor all the fans who do so much for me and Star Wars. We depend on the fans to keep Lucasfilm in business. Without the generosity of the fans, we would have to shut down our enterprise. I can never thank the fans enough for all that they do. Thanks to all of you from the bottom of my heart. I love you beyond what words can portray.
Dear Mr. Lucas, I would just like to say I love the Star Wars saga. They are brilliant. I also have 2 questions. 1. Who are the new members of the Jedi Council in Episode 7 and 2. why has Luke Skywalker got rid of the old Jedi code and changed it for his own so he can do what he wants really? Thanks for taking time out of your work to read this. Thanks. Yours sincerely, Darren May
George Lucas: The one thing that the prequels definitely proved was that the old Jedi Code was not workable and actually harmed the integrity of the Jedi Order. It was a mistake not to allow the Jedi to possess things and to love other individuals enough to get married. Luke was smart enough to recognize all the errors made by Yoda and all the other Jedi that followed the old Jedi Code. Luke wanted to create a new Jedi Order that would last for a thousand generations. Hence, Luke completely changed the Jedi Code to permit the ownership of property and the ability to fall in love and get married.
I have a Star Wars TV episode idea for the show of Star Wars like just basically how Yoda is doing at Dagobah like Yoda building his house and making food. I think it will be good. Him going to a wise master to a clumsy guy like in The Empire Strikes Back. I think it would be a funny episode and I always wondered what did Yoda do on the planet. And I think Dash Rendar should be in the Episode 7, 8 and 9 movies. Rendar’s a kool character and Kyle Katarn too. And who’s your favorite out of Han, Dash and Kyle. Me, I love them all. Who would win Dash vs. Han and in a dogfight and Han vs. Indy and what ever happened to your dog named Indiana? Do you miss him? Thanx a bunch if you answer them. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
George Lucas: You have a really good idea for the Star Wars TV shows. Unfortunately, Yoda will have no role in the live-action Star Wars TV series. If you are to find out what Yoda did in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, it will have to be explored in the expanded-universe novels and comic books. Han Solo is my favorite out of the characters you mention because I created Han. Han could defeat Dash in both a fist fight and a dog fight. Han Solo is perhaps the best pilot of his generation. Indiana Jones could probably beat Han in a fight. I really do miss my dog Indiana. We had so many entertaining adventures together. I expect to be reunited with Indiana in Heaven.
Mr. Lucas, have you created a Star Wars universe down to every minute detail? Jon.
George Lucas: No, I don’t have any interest in spending the rest of my life working on Star Wars. J.R.R. Tolkien spent decades mapping out every small detail about Middle-Earth and the entire history of the Lord of the Rings world. To each his own. I don’t have any desire to create information about Star Wars similar to what Tolkien did with his creations. The best you can hope for is what is revealed in the expanded universe of novels, comic books and video games. Those sources do not represent my true vision of Star Wars, but that’s the best you’re ever going to get as far as learning the small details about the Star Wars galaxy.
Dear Mr. Lucas, I've been thinking a lot about the light and dark sides of the Force. As yourself and SuperShadow have pointed out several times, the dark side will be obliterated from existence in Episode 9. My question is: Is it still possible for a Jedi to do evil by drawing energy from the light side? What I mean is, a Jedi who works to protect and serve but does so by fighting against the Republic believing that the Republic is evil. You said it yourself in the documentary about Darth Vader in the DVD box set of the classic trilogy that the most evil people think that they’re doing good. Now, I do’'t mean to sound standoffish or critical. I just want to know if it’s possible or not. One more thing, what ever happened to Durge? Did he really die in the Clone Wars because the cartoon wasn’t that convincing in his death. If he’s still alive, I think it would be really awesome for Durge to reprise his role as swoop leader maybe leading a squad of Mandalorians against the Republic in Episode 8? Thanks for your time. C
George Lucas: What a remarkable question you pose. Very insightful and well thought out. From a technical perspective after Episode 9, the Force cannot be utilized for evil. This means that the Sith and Dark Jedi have no Force powers at all. Moreover, a light side Jedi will not be able to harness the power of the Force to overthrow the new Jedi Order or the New Republic. It will be up to the Force to determine if the Jedi has an evil intent. If a Jedi is unable to tap into the Force, then that Jedi will realize that their intentions are really nefarious and should be abandoned immediately. I don’t have any info about the final fate of Durge. Durge is not my creation. To find a satisfactory answer to your query, you would need to contact the creators of the Clone Wars animated shorts. You many not be able to reach them so there may be no definitive answer to what you seek.

Hey SS, how you doing. Got a quick question for you. In the old trilogy, there are many "mess-ups." Like for example, a storm trooper hitting his head on the ceiling. I was just wondering if you were helping Lucas make those movies, and even if you weren't, were those put in purposely? Thanks man. Catch you later. (SuperShadow: The funny mistakes you see in the classic trilogy, like the storm trooper hitting his head, happened by accident. Lucas thought it was so funny that he left it in the film. Many of these errors happened in A New Hope because Lucas had a small staff to look out for these “continuity” errors. Filming happened so quickly that they could NOT discover every single mistake that was made. There are other mistakes in A New Hope that are left in the film either out of whim or the fact that Lucas lacked the needed money to replace the mistake.)
Hey Supes , there have been a lot of comments about new games coming out from LucasArts, for example, Knights Of The Old Republic 3 video game. But I was wondering what platforms will they be coming out on the old X-box and PS2 or the X-box 360 and PS3 because I and others, I bet will want to know so us fans have the right system to buy and play the new games. Thanx keep scoring from BC, Canada. (SuperShadow: LucasArts is preparing many cool games for X-box 360. The most realistic video-game images seen to date. You will also find a few games for Playstation 3. I can’t tell you which system is best to buy because it is still too early to make this decision. You need to wait until the release of PS3 to see if it comes with enough Star Wars games to justify purchasing it. Buying both X-box 2 and PS3 seems to be difficult since the game units cost over $ 400 dollars each.)
Hey Supes, I have a great idea for Episode 7! The same way the Dark Jedi clone Luke Skywalker from his severed hand, they should also clone Anakin from his severed hand from Episode II. It can explain how come Anakin didn't have his severed hand reattached. The Jedi kept it in stasis for the operation, getting ready to re-attach it. Then someone stole it from the lab! it could be the same Jedi traitor who deleted the Kamino archives, who was a Dark Jedi. (SuperShadow: I love this idea. Better than advanced tachyon communications. Your idea will be fed ex to Lucas. Thanks for this major contribution.)
Hey GL, how are things? (SuperShadow: Female super models, fine wines, tons of cash, caviar. Tell me can it get any better?) Hi Mr. Lucas, I don’t wish to be too rude, but have you ever thought about realising Star Wars Episode 7 a little sooner, like 2016 maybe? (SuperShadow: Unlikely) Also, how does Mace Windu appear in Episode 7, I thought he died in Episode 3? (SuperShadow: Windu survived his fall from Sidious’ office.) And is it true that Mark Hamill will not star as Luke Skywalker in Episode 7? (SuperShadow: False rumor. Mark is on board all the way.) And does Luke Skywalker turn to the dark side in the next trilogy because some people say that he does? (SuperShadow: No, absolutely not.) and will John Williams compose the music for Episode 7? (SuperShadow: Most likely.)
I have a few questions. Why is it that we do not see Yaddle in any films? (SuperShadow: She’s not important to the plot so she has no real role.) What did this character do in Star Wars? (SuperShadow: Defended the Republic) Why did Luke not use his lightsaber fighting the Rancor? (SuperShadow: Great question. Since the Rancor was unarmed, Luke fought against the Rancor in the same way to be fair.) And who are the men who look like very evil with the Emperor and what do they do? (SuperShadow: Those are dark side advisors called dark side adepts. They help Sidious foresee the future and they utilize other exotic Force powers.)
Hey Shadow I saw V for Vendetta and it was great. (SuperShadow: I avoid pro-fascist films.) I think Natalie Portman should be nominated for V, but very unlikly since its to early in the year for a best actress nomination for Natalie in V for Vendetta. (SuperShadow: Never gonna happen.) Shadow, I was wondering for the character that I'm going to audition for as Kyle Katarn maybe the first cameo of him can be in Episode VI I- The Fallen Hero when the Dark Jedi wearing jet packs and an advanced versions of Darth Vader's mask attack Bespin, have Kyle Katarn star ship fly with the other Jedi Rogue Squadrons in the clouds. (SuperShadow: Terrific one.)
I was thinking of a "E" wing type star ship Katarn can pilot. Also maybe instead of just using a green-bladed light saber (green would look cool for Kyle) have him also use a blaster and have the 1st light dagger against the Mandalorian super commandos in Episode VIII - The Republic in Crisis. Another suggestion for a Kyle Katarn is to have a cameo in either Episode VII, VIII and IX of Kyle saying: "May the Force be with you. Master Luke Skywalker." Cory Morr. (SuperShadow: Smokin us out with your genius. This is one of the best comments ever made.)
Hey SS, this past week a video game has came out called "The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion," people from Wall street and other areas are predicting that this game will slow down the econemy for video games, because this game has reached perfection for RPGs, if Lucasarts wants to make anymore money they are going to have to put all there effort in for the Knights of the Old Republic 3 video game and make it better then Oblivion or we're gonna say goodbye to LucasArts. Send it to them for me. Thanx, Zach. (SuperShadow: LucasArts is not worried. Your warning has been sent to the top dogs at LucasArts.)
You stated that once you go to the dark side you would never be able to go back to the light side, so why did Darth Vader not just kill Luke? (SuperShadow: Usually, the dark side fully corrupts the dark-side user so that they have no mercy for the opponent. Luke brought out what good was left in Anakin. Luke has the opportunity to destroy Vader at the end of the his duel with Vader, but instead of harming Vader, Luke threw away his light saber. This fundamentally changed Anakin. The love of a child proved to be more powerful than the lure of the dark side. Anakin was able to break free from the grip of the dark side with the love shown by Luke to Anakin.)
Hey SuperShadow, my god, behind Alexi Laiho. So what’s up? (SuperShadow: Scoring like a Roman legion on holiday. Hahaha.) I know you, of all people, must have noticed that George Lucas is a huge hypocrit. He complains and whines when people steal his ideas, but if you notice he "borrows" ideas all the time. (SuperShadow: Hahaha. Lucas loves to pay homage when he borrows ideas from other film makers and authors.) Oh and a question. Do the Mirader Empire have anything to do with the metal band GWAR? (SuperShadow: Nope. Nothing. They are not related.) Who happen to think there aliens. (SuperShadow: Many claim to be not of this Earth.) Jake from NC, ohh and score one for me. (SuperShadow: SS will grand slam hot score for you this weekend.)
Hey Shadow, after Revenge of the Sith did Sidious give Anakin any light saber combat lessons? (SuperShadow: Yes, Sidious trained Vader for many, many months in the proper light-saber combat favored by the Sith. In actuality, the Sith techniques are very similar to what the Jedi teach their padawans. The difference is that the moves taught by Sidious are more aggressive, raw and underhanded than the light-saber techniques used by the Jedi.)
Hi Mr. Lucas, I don’t wish to be too rude, but have you ever thought about realising Star Wars Episode 7 a little sooner, like 2016 maybe? (SuperShadow: Making Episode 7 is so ultra sophisticated that it will take us a lot longer to film Episode 7 as compared to a regular blockbuster movie,) Also, how does Mace Windu appear in Episode 7? I thought he died in Episode 3. (SuperShadow: Windu survived the fall from Palpatine’s office.) And is it true that Mark Hamill will not star as Luke Skywalker in Episode 7? (SuperShadow: Hoax. False rumor. Mark will return.) and does Luke turn to the dark side in the next trilogy because some people say that he does? (SuperShadow: Luke never ever joins the ways of the dark side.) And will John Williams compose the music for Episode 7(SuperShadow: Yeah, if Johnny is healthy.)
Dear George, I have a suggestion for future Star Wars releases (Blu Ray or whatever). Have 2 different options to choose from for the commentary. As much as I like hearing how the special effects were done and stuff by producers and such, I would much rather listen to you completely talking about the story, the special effects that were used and maybe even the struggle you had to go thru. In Return of the Jedi, it was a little frustrating for me because on the commentary, the final confrontation between Luke, Vader and Sidious on the death star was more talk about how the lightning bolts were created and such. I would have loved to just hear you talk about the story in depth. I love your stories tremendously. Jonathan.
George Lucas: The problem we have with the audio commentaries for the DVD products is that it is hard for one person to talk for two hours and a half about Star Wars. We generally have 3 or 4 speakers who help to fill out the audio commentary. In the future, we could separate these commentaries and run them separately. I could have one commentary just to myself talking about the story development or why we did certain things in a weird way. Thanks for your contribution. I will send your idea to the people at Lucas Licensing to see if they think it is feasible for me to do a DVD audio commentary all by myself. I would need enough material to read for over 2 hours. I guess this would give fans a definitive answer as to what really happened behind closed doors.
First of all me, my friends and my 7 year old nephew are huge Star Wars fans we loved both sagas and we'd love to see more, that is what brings me to here. I have heard rumors that Mr. Lucas has decided to make the next trilogy Episodes 7, 8 & -9 and I want to know if the rumors are true, because if they are that would be the bomb. Thanks P.S. Is there a winged Jedi (or a race) like and angel or something like that?
George Lucas: Yes, the next trilogy is definitely going to happen. SuperShadow will be in charge of the production of Episode 7, 8 & 9. The dreams of the fans of having Shadow in control of Star Wars have finally come true. The mega genius that helped me create the incredible prequel trilogy, will now be unleashed on the sequel trilogy. Shadow and the fans will be in charge of hiring the directors, composers and producers for the new trilogy. Under the leadership of SuperShadow, Star Wars has entered its golden age. Shadow is the best thing to ever happen to Star Wars.
Hey George, I’m a real big Star Wars fan from Texas and I was wondering how old will Luke Skywalker will be in the next new trilogies of Episode 7 - 9? And also who is stronger Luke or Anakin? I love your movies. Keep up the great work.
George Lucas: By the time we begin work on Episode 7, Mark Hamill will be in his sixties. He will be around the perfect age to play the venerable Jedi Master and head of the Jedi Council. Luke Skywalker will be at his complete zenith of power. Luke is much, much stronger than Anakin. Thanks for your warms words they have touched me deeply.
Dear Lord Lucas, I read just few days ago about a person who asked when the next Episodes would be available in Theatres. I believe your response was: "Not until the year 2021." Please tell me I don’t have to wait until then to watch the next installment. Won’t you and other key actors be well overdue by then (if you get my meaning)? Also what you and Shadow do if something happened to one of the original actors like Mark Hamill or Carrie Fisher or even Harrison Ford? I like to think that my grandfather ( 72 years old) who enjoys all six Episodes will still be alive when the next three come out.
George Lucas: Making the next trilogy is a difficult undertaking. The computer special effects needed for the films are not sophisticated enough to capture the vision that SuperShadow and I have for the films. There are aspects of the new films that are far beyond current digital animation. When technology catches up with our vision, then we will be able to begin work on Episode 7. All the actors will be about the right ages for their parts. I see no problem with regards to using Mark, Carrie and Harrison in the next trilogy.
Dear Mr. Lucas, I am a big fan of Star Wars and thank you for such a wonderful trilogy. I can never get enough of Star Wars. Now my question is are there any other color of light-saber blades the Sith use beside red? Do they have black or any dark color? You would really make my day if you answer me. And once again congratulations on your success you really deserve everything you got because you worked hard and never gave up. Thank you.
George Lucas: Traditionally, the Sith have used red-bladed light sabers exclusively for several millennia. There might have been one or two rebels that used a black blade or darker-color blade, but those Sith didn’t live too long. Thanks for sending in your positive words. Perseverance and never giving up has made me the success I am today.
Hi Mr. Lucas, I just would like to say I love Stat Wars. I was wondering if there were going to be any movies about the Yuuzhan Vong?
George Lucas: No, the Yuuzhan Vong are an expanded universe creation that I’m not going to borrow for the films or for the Star Wars TV shows. In my perfect vision, the Yuuzhan Vong do not even exist.
Hi George, I was wondering in Episode 4: Why did Owen Lars not remember C-3PO when he used to work on the farm in Episode 2? Also what happened to Anakin’s gold arm in Episode 2, in Episode 3 it’s like some sort black glove? Your dedicated fan. Josh.
George Lucas: Many factors might have caused Owen Lars to forget about C-3PO. Owen had grown old and perhaps just forgotten about the droid. There are so many gold protocol droids around the galaxy that Owen has no clue that he had stumbled upon Anakin’s C-3PO. Anakin’s gold arm is replaced with something a lot more sophisticated.
Hello George, and thank you for the Star Wars movies. I just wanted to know, why can’t you release a box, which includes all six Star Wars movies? I know SS said that there wouldn’t be markets for the six pack. But when I first heard that you were going to make the Episodes 1 - 3, I started to wait to get all the six movies in one box. So basically I've waited now about 9 years and I'm still waiting. I have the original version of classic trilogy on VHS, but I don't have any Star Wars on DVD. I'm now 27 years old. I'm a very patient guy and I will wait for the six pack, until the day I die. So could help me just a little and tell me when you're going to release all the movies in one box? The waiting without knowing the date is very frustrating. Anyway thank you for the best fantasy story ever.
George Lucas: Thanks for your warm words about Star Wars. It means so much to me. Currently, there are no plans by Lucasfilm to release all six Star Wars films in one deluxe box set. The market for Star Wars DVDs has been completely saturated. 99% of potential buyers already own the DVDs. Your best hope is for us to release a 6 film box set for the emerging entertainment formats like HD DVD and Blu-Ray. You will probably never see all six films in one package on the old DVD technology.
Hey George. I read where you said Episode 7, 8 and 9 are all gonna be filmed at the same time. So does this still mean you’ll release them 3 years apart?
George Lucas: Well, we plan to shoot all three sequel films back to back to back. However, the sophisticated special effects shots will take many, many years to finish. We will still release the films three years apart even if we do complete them early. It may take 3 or 4 years of work on the special effects to complete each film.
Hi, I’m a big fan of yours. I want to know who are your greatest influence in literature. Who are some of the best Star Wars writers today because im interested in reading some of them, just like I did from the Indiana Jones ones. And one more thing, I would like to see Indy 4 soon, please kinda move it, or I’'ll wait if you give us the plot right now. Or at lease an artifact it involves or place. Thanks Eldad. P.S. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE POST
George Lucas: Most of the authors who influenced my films have been science fiction and fantasy writer from the 1930's all the way up to the late 1960's. Star Wars borrowed many aspects from the stories I read. In my astute opinion, all the Star Wars writers are excellent in their field. I don’t have time to read the books, but the few fans who read the books really seem to enjoy them. I guess Timothy Zahn is probably the biggest favorite of the fans right now. I can’t reveal any info about Indiana Jones 4 at this time. I can say that SuperShadow and I have been working on the Indiana Jones 4 script nonstop for many weeks now. We are creating the most amazing adventure story. Indy 4 is much more elaborate and complex than the previous Indy films. Shadow is at the top of his game and we will all reap the benefits of his massive, near-infinite genius.

Dear S.S., I have one question that has been bothering me for quite a while. Does Luke Skywalker, briefly, turn to the dark side on the death star when he defeats Vader? (SuperShadow: No, of course not. Yoda says once you are consumed by the dark side it forever controls your destiny. It is impossible to jump back and forth between the dark side and the light side.) From when Vader told Luke that if he didn't turn to the dark side than perhaps Leia would, until Luke looks at his mechanical hand. (SuperShadow: This is all nonsensical gibberish. You can’t temporarily succumb to the influence of the dark side.) An answer to this question would be greatly appreciated, Jonathan. (SuperShadow: I wanna be a cowboy. Do you get it?)
Hi Supes, pleaze post! You say that the Mirader Empire can travel to any galaxy with ease and navigation, (SuperShadow: Thems the facts.) but wouldn’t each and every galaxy need to be mapped out first? (SuperShadow: Oh my. How naive you are about the infinite powers of extraterrestrials especially the Mirader Empire.) We’re talking billions upon billions of galaxies. (SuperShadow: The Miraders have been around for millions of years. They have been hyper technologically advanced for many, many millions of years. Their powerful computers can map the entire Universe in a matter of microseconds. Imagine quantum/dark matter/dark energy computers with beyond infinite computer processing power and beyond infinite memory storage. The Mirader Empire’s technology is godlike compared to our Commodore 64's. Hahaha.)
I know it’s irrelevant, but just saying. (SuperShadow: No matter what you think about extraterrestrials, you are completely wrong. They are beyond our comprehension. They are as close to gods you can get and still be in this level of existence.) Also, it would be kinda cool if the Star Wars Universe created a futuristic time machine and went into the future and a few Jedi encountered Earth and like you saw the Jedi take out like tanks and ground troops and what not. That would be awesome. (SuperShadow: Moving in time wouldn’t be enough. You would also have to move in space because our Milky Way galaxy is trillions of light years from the Star Wars galaxy.)
Hey, SuperShadow! How about in Episode 9, when Luke Skywalker lands on Valorius, the first thing Luke says is: “I’ve never felt the dark side so strongly ever before. It's staggering." What do you think? Thank you, SuperShadow. Bye now! (SuperShadow: You have minted pure gold and platinum. I’m speechless because this comment is so great. Your quote will be forwarded to Lucas.)
Mr. Shadow, does a Force power of teleportation exist? Ben in Colorado. (SuperShadow: Since the beginning of the Jedi, it has been rumored that certain powerful Jedi Masters were able to vanish at will and reappear at some other distant location. Kaja Sinis was rumored to have this power. It might be a myth or it could be real. Luke Skywalker has been working for years on the Force teleportation technique. He has only been able to move very small distances. So some are coming to believe that the ancient stories of long-distance teleportation were just fables.)
Dear Mr. Lucas, why is there no mention of Jacen or Jaina Solo in Episode 7, 8 and 9? Aren’t they Anakin Solo’s older brother and sister? PLEASE ANSWER THIS! Your biggest fan, Kainoa. (SuperShadow: Lucas is not a big fan of the Solo twins. He believes it is not original for there to be yet another pair of twins in the saga. It is unlikely Jacen and Jaina will have any role in Episode 7, 8 and 9.)
I’m still confused about Dooku’s true motives in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith? Firstly how did revealing the Senate was under control of the Sith Lord help his cause? (SuperShadow: Dooku was hoping this startling revelation would prompt Obi-Wan to join Dooku to defeat Sidious.) Also Dooku says he wishes that Qui-Gon Jinn was still alive and Obi-Wan gets stroppy saying Qui-Gon wouldn’t help Dooku. If Qui-Gon had still been alive surely he would have sensed the dark side in Dooku and fought with Obi-Wan against him? (SuperShadow: Yeah, I believe you are right. Qui-Gon would never work with a dark sider like Dooku. Dooku was just trying to trick Obi-Wan into joining his fight against Sidious.)
Shadow, will Leia carry a light sabre and demonstrate any Force abilities in the next trilogy? (SuperShadow: Yep, she’s gonna rock the block.)
