Hello GL, what did you think of Kurt Cobain and Nirvana? I was wondering what ever happened to Count Dooku’s light saber by the time of Episode 4 - 6? Thank you for your time. I am interested to know what becomes of that artifact.

George Lucas: Who is Kurt Cobain? I’ve never heard of him. Nirvana must be some kind of illegal drug. I don’t do illicit drugs so I wouldn’t have any idea who Cobain or what Nirvana are. I hope he is doing alright and not in jail or anything. I wish him the best in life.

Sidious took Dooku’s light saber back to Sidious’ palace on Coruscant and placed it in his light-saber trophy case. Sidious had dozens of light sabers in this case from the conquests of Jedi and Dark Jedi Sidious had made over the past years.

Hi Mr. Lucas, I really like your movies and I really want to become a actor some day when I grow up and I really wished I could go in one of your movies it would of been very cool! Because I think you are a great director and writer. Anyways I want to ask you one question, who put on the gold plating on C-3PO in Episode III?

The prop guy on Revenge of the Sith was named Jimmy Green. Jimmy made sure that C-3PO looked great for Revenge of the Sith. Jimmy is one of the lost souls of film making who doesn’t get the full credit they deserve. Jimmy should have gotten some kind of special Oscar award for his difficult work.

G.L., will the final chapter be coming out on VHS? I do have the first VHS of the Star Wars Episode 4, 5, 6, 1 and 2? I do know that you are very busy, so take your time to get back to me. I am over 50 no. Ed G. of Mesa, AZ.

George Lucas: The VHS video tape market is so insignificant now that it isn’t worth our time to release our films on VHS anymore. Revenge of the Sith will never be made available on VHS tape. We lose money by printing films on VHS so we have just stopped doing it all together. It’s true that I’m an extremely busy man, but I make time to answer the lingering questions that many fans have about Star Wars. The best part of my day is answering questions at SuperShadow.com. Greetings Mr. Lucas. I wanted to know, since the dark side of the Force can cloud the Jedi’s mind, can the Jedi use the light side of the Force to cloud the Sith’s minds?

George Lucas: Yes, most certainly the light side can cloud the dark side of the Force. Both Obi-Wan and Yoda use the power of the light side to hide the Skywalker twins from the Sith. Obi-Wan and Yoda are also able to mask their existence from the Sith. Sidious never gets any kind of feeling that Obi-Wan and Yoda are still alive. At the end of Return of the Jedi, Yoda and Obi-Wan cloud the dark side of the Force to such a degree that Sidious is unable to foresee Vader’s betrayal of Sidious.

Hello, Mr. George Lucas! Dustin Ihekwaba from New Jersey here. I saw in one of your previous statements, that the fans could give ideas for the sequels and all. I have one for the Jedi Council. Would it be possible to add my own character, Duron Voltros to the Jedi Council?

George Lucas: We’re not taking names for Jedi Council members at this time. We may hold a contest around 2014 or 2015 whereby a Jedi character named by a fan will get a role in Episode 7. Perhaps, this character could even be on the Jedi Council. SuperShadow will give you time and dates when these contests begin. So you don’t have to worry about missing out on helping us create Episode 7.

Mr. Lucas, does it bother you at all that people simply write "GL" instead of your name? As though George Lucas is such a tedious thing to write. Maybe I'm just being psycho, but it bothers me. Anyway, thank you for ALL of your films and for taking the time out of your busy schedule to answer some of the fan mail you receive. Sincerely, Bill.

George Lucas: No, shortening my name to GL is similar to the way fans summarize SuperShadow to just SS. All the cool people in life get their names shortened to something really interesting. I feel honored that the fans love me enough to give me a special name. I really have been given it all. I don’t think you are psycho, but your comment does suggest you have some kind of mental illness since this question really bothers you. Life is too short to worry about the small things. Just enjoy my films and buy as many Star Wars collectibles as possible.

Hi Mr. Lucas, you now Darth Vader in Episodes 7, 8 and 9 is he going to sound like Anakin or is he going to sound like Darth Vader? If it is going to be Darth Vader, you will need James Earl Jones to do the voice of mechanical Vader. If not, it won’t be the same with out him. But being a Star Wars fan, I don’t care. I’ll still love Star Wars. If you do use a different voice, you can say that same thing went wrong when cloning him so he sounds different? Thanks again Scott. PLEASE POST!

George Lucas: With his mask off, Anakin will sound exactly like an older Hayden Christensen. When the Darth Vader helmet is on, Vader will have James Earl Jones’ voice. We would not cheat the fans by using some other voice for mechanical Vader. The fans deserve the authentic thing and we will deliver.

Dear Mr. Lucas, I have been a huge Star Wars fan since I saw Star Wars Episode 1. You are my favorite director of making movies. The Star Wars movies are my favorite films of all time. I really do like the action in the movies. I was wondering who would win in a light saber duel Anakin in Revenge of the Sith against Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi? Mair!

George Lucas: Thanks for your kind words. It means a lot to me to have such great fans such as yourself. We are much better off with you. Always remain true to Star Wars.

I would have to say that Luke could defeat Anakin just because the will of the Force is so completely with Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi.

George Lucas, I am a really big fan of yours and have read all of the new essential guide books. I have two questions: one, did you write the books or did someone else you know write it? Two, where did you come up with the names of characters? I am also writing a story about a character I made up. I hope you get this and write back. Chad Bradley.

George Lucas: No, I don’t personally write the various ancillary Star Wars books especially the Essential Guides. I hire people to do this work for me. I simply don’t have enough free time to write Star Wars books.

The character names I use for Star Wars are just words I come up with that sound cool. If a word sounds real neat, I will use it for a character. I don’t really have any kind of formula I use to create character names. Thanks for writing in. You’re a really special person.

Hey GL. I have a question. Anakin was supposed to be the chosen one and he killed Sidious, right? But Sidious' spirit was resurrected by the ghosts of the Sith on Korriban and put into his clone and then Luke Skywalker turned to the dark side (faking it) and learned a new power and killed Sidious' clone. And if the clone is the same cells of one and Luke killed Sidious isn’t he meant to be the chosen one? Because Anakin didn’t get rid of him completely.

George Lucas: I believe the story you are referring to is the Dark Empire mini series from Dark Horse comic books. I readily admit that this story is not official. Sidious was not resurrected after Return of the Jedi and Luke never succumbed to the dark side. You need to understand that the comic books are intended as fun and provide an alternate reality of things that possibly could have happened in some parallel universe. So Luke is not the chosen one based on these stories because none of these stories are real.
